USA Physics Team Announced

2023-05-24

On May 12, 2025, the American Physics Teachers Association officially announced the results of the rematch of the American middle school physics competition. At this point, the 2025 US physics competition has finally come to an end.

In early February, F=MA was caught in a storm of leaking questions just after it ended. Everyone found that 24 hours before the exam, someone posted a link to a website for leaking questions on the AOPS forum, and the real questions were correct. In order to protect our students, APEX teachers wrote to AAPT to complain as soon as possible. AAPT quickly admitted on its website that the problem was leaked and promised to be researching countermeasures. Unfortunately, we did not wait for any subsequent response. AAPT also deleted information about leaked questions on its official website. I hope next year's exams can be unified globally, at least making cheating more difficult.

The 2025 preliminary round promotion score increased from 14 points in 2024 to 15 points in 2025. A total of 524 students were qualified to participate in the rematch.

After the rematch, a total of 181 students won medals. Among them, 20 students were selected for the national team, 20 students won gold medals, 58 students won silver medals, and 83 students won bronze medals.

The following is the roster of the national team in 2025. I wish them to overcome all obstacles in the summer camp and show their strength in the center of the International Physics Olympics held in France in 2025.
